The luxury community of
Fearrington Village began in 1974 when R.B Fitch purchased the old dairy farm from Jesse Fearrington. Fearrington had inherited the farm from his great-great-grandfather who had staked a claim on the land in 1786. The land was rich in history and cared for through generations. In order to honor this tradition, Fitch named the community after Jesse Fearrington and his forefathers.
Today, Fearrington Village is home to almost 2,000 residents that include a mix of retirees, families, and working professionals. The diverse neighborhood blends into the wooded backdrop of North Carolina, and effortlessly creates a friendly, Southern persona. Walkable neighborhoods grant residents easy access to the Village Center and its amenities.
