Welcome to Southern Village

Just two miles from downtown Chapel Hill, Southern Village provides a small-town feel and a familiar Southern vibe. In an experiment in smart design, the community was constructed using the concept of new urbanism, in which the layout of the community supports the needs of pedestrians and cyclists. Tree-lined streets are supported by the natural surroundings and provide gorgeous walks to corner grocery stores.

This beautiful community continues to be nationally recognized and is the top-selling community in The Triangle. As the premier community in the Chapel Hill region, Southern Village has access to some of the best resources in the region. With proximity to the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, Chapel Hill School System, and the Research Triangle Park, top educational and employment opportunities are bountiful. The Park and Ride System provides residents with transportation to downtown and the UNC-CH campus.

If you’re interested in Southern Village luxury homes and apartments, be prepared for friendly neighbors, porch hang-outs, and community cookouts. As part of the Southern Village community, you’ll have access to a variety of fun events. Possibly the most popular of the events in Southern Village’s own farmers market, which opens every Thursday throughout the year.

There are also weekly music series, outdoor movies, a food truck rodeo, and a yearly North Carolina Symphony concert which make for a never-ending list of things to do.

There are many fine dining and shopping opportunities on Market Street, as well as a movie theater, banks, organic grocery stores, and several doctor’s offices all within walking and cycling distance. The urban design of the community allows a small-town feel with easy access to all of the necessary amenities.
